With plenty of well wishers in tow Monday afternoon on campus, O’Connell’s Raphfel Moss signed a national letter of intent for an athletic scholarship with Spring Arbor University in Michigan.
While also a standout in basketball and football for the Buccaneers, Moss’ NLI is to join the track and field team at Spring Arbor, where Moss said he’ll initially focus on the high jump and hurdles events.
“I’m going to try my best and give it 100 percent,” Moss said. “If the competition is way harder, that’s better for me because it’ll help me get better.”
Moss thanked his family, friends, coaches and teammates during the signing day ceremony set up just outside of O’Connell’s gym.
